Fantastic experience: Caroline was PHENOMENAL as our on-the-day wedding stylist. She removed all worries about whether or not our vision would come to life, and she delivered that vision absolutely perfectly. It felt like she was genuinely excited about how we wanted the day to look and feel, and although we didn't go for a particularly classic style, she got it straight away and jumped right on board. Not only did Caroline save us stress on our big day, but she also made our lives so much easier by picking up, packing and dropping off hire items, candles etc. for us since we live a few hours away from Bristol. Fantastic experience: We used Caroline’s full planning service for our wedding and we’re so glad we did! Caroline was very supportive throughout, meeting with us online and in person several times in the 18 months leading up to our wedding, supporting via email, helping to find suppliers, problem solve, and plan at every stage. Caroline has fab industry contacts and doesn’t push anyone in particular towards you, simply offers a few names to your consideration list, can help collect proposals, and allows you to make an informed decision about who might be right for what you’re looking for. We particularly struggled to find a hair stylist for our date but Caroline searched high and low to find a brilliant one. She also expertly helps keep you on track with budget if, inevitably(!), you get wrapped up in the exciting possibilities and run away with ideas, she helps flag this, explore and if needed steer towards something equally lovely and, crucially, within budget. Caroline’s hire collection was fantastic in giving us access to high quality decor and stylish touches, but in an affordable way. We were so pleased by the overall look and feel and Caroline’s items and advice on the styling really helped bring the vision to life. On the wedding weekend itself, Caroline arrived the day before to help set everything up, and then arrived early on the wedding morning to help get everything ready. Her help on the wedding morning was invaluable in supporting the suppliers to find where they needed to go, problem solving last minute issues without bringing any stress to me or the groom, and being on hand for whatever the most pressing needs were. During the dinner service, Caroline helped fix the technology so we could have music, kept our MC in line (no mean feat!!), helped the venue deliver a flawless service, and supported all the suppliers like moving items out of the photographers shot so we got the best pictures. She kept her eye on everything so we could relax into the day. Caroline’s support was absolutely invaluable, and her very practical and helpful approach really smoothed out the planning in advance and flow of the day itself to make it feel calm, beautiful, and unforgettable. Fantastic experience: Without Caroline, I have no idea how my partner and I would have had the wedding of our dreams!!! She was so great to work with right from our first call months in advance right until the the final day of our wedding . Her recommendations of vendors, organising the vendors, giving us the flexibility of implementing our vision for our wedding while at the same time not being afraid to tell us when parts of our vision needed change or improvement, periodic meetings (both virtual and in person), and ability to hop on a call ad hoc were all some of many more reasons why we would recommend Caroline to all our friends and family! In Caroline we not only found a very efficient and resourceful wedding planner, but also a friend who genuinely cared and who treated us with so much kindness and respect. Fantastic experience: Choosing The Planning Lounge for my intimate wedding in December 2023, was undoubtedly the best decision I made. Caroline proved to be amazing, from planning to execution. Her extensive collection of beautiful props added an elegant touch to our wedding reception (a private event). As someone who meticulously plans every detail, working with Caroline was a delight, and I never had any concerns about the smooth execution of our plans. She provided constant updates, instilling confidence and going above and beyond by recommending reliable suppliers. Thanks to her suggestion, I obtained an affordable yet stunning bouquet. I am grateful for everything she did to ensure my wedding was special and stress-free. The reception's style and interior design, admired by our guests, created a truly magical atmosphere. Fantastic experience: We used Caroline’s full planning service for our wedding and I cannot emphasise enough how strongly I feel this was money well spent! And how unbelievably grateful I am for Caroline’s help / advice / experience. As two very time poor people with zero experience in planning events - it would have been a recipe for disaster without Caroline. She helped us bring our dream day to life whilst removing the massive stress burden of organising a wedding for ~100 people. Don’t underestimate how much work goes into making your big day come together and run smoothly - I honestly could not recommend Caroline more. The end result was the most incredible day, beyond our wildest dreams. Everything came together better than I could have ever imagined - from the big things like the flowers, venue, transport, church, music, down to the tiny details that make the day, like blankets and umbrellas. Fantastic experience: Caroline was the most fabulous full-service planner for our August 2023 wedding. I cannot speak highly enough of how organised, pragmatic and flexible she is. If you are thinking of booking The Planning Lounge, do not hesitate - it was one of the best investments we made for our wedding! Caroline helped us on our entire wedding planing journey, including visiting prospective venues, coming up with styling inspiration and on-the-day coordination to make sure our wedding day was effortless, special and memorable. As we’re overseas, having Caroline based in the UK was an enormous help, especially with her connections. She was able to suggest so many amazing suppliers including photographers, videographers, cake, hair and make up, entertainment, furniture / games hire, just to name a few. Caroline also worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure our wedding day ran smoothly. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy the day, which was testament to how organised and efficient Caroline was!

Fantastic experience: Caroline was absolutely amazing to work with. She coordinated our wedding day and styled both our ceremony and reception space and it was so beautiful. Walking into our ceremony and reception space felt like a like dream and she nailed every detail we were looking to have on the day. Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Caroline enough. She was a total dreamboat to work with and her styling of our venue took my breath away and made me cry (good tears!) She has such a warm presence and made us feel comfortable immediately. She understood our vision (candles and lots of them haha) and when I walked down the aisle and saw everything in place I saw she had managed to not only bring that vision to life but make it better than I could ever imagined. Fantastic experience: My husband and I cannot thank Caroline enough for making our wedding day so magical! For anyone thinking of hiring her, we would highly recommend her - you will seriously not regret it! We knew we could absolutely rely on her to ensure everything ran smoothly in the run up and on the day itself meaning that my husband & I didn't have to worry or think about anything and could just enjoy our day. All of her suggestions were so helpful - for example we had a pianist playing outside on the hottest of the day, and last minute Caroline provided a gazebo for the performance. She was proactive in making so many suggestions that we wouldn't have even thought about - that may have seemed small but made such a big difference including cute water dispensers for when guests arrived, as well as candles, lanterns, baskets etc adding some spark to the ceremony and table decor. She was consistently responsive, reliable, organised and didn't miss a single thing in those last few weeks, and we trusted all of her guidance and suggestions! THANKS SO MUCH! Not only did the decorations we hired provide the perfect finishing touch to the look of our day, but Caroline's service was brilliant from start to finish. Fantastic experience: We used Caroline to style our beautiful wedding day at a Goldney Hall last weekend. Caroline’s styling service is one of the best things I booked for the wedding - working with her was a dream and took away any stress of having to organise the decoration, look and logistics of the reception venue and church. She’s just brilliant, has a really creative eye and is the most organised person I’ve ever met. She knows how to make your day look beautiful, whilst also being stress/ hassle free for you setting up. Thank you so much Caroline. To anyone reading this - You will not regret booking her! We had multiple meet ups at the venue to discuss ideas on the run up, including a final run through about a month before the wedding where we made a list of all the items which were going to be used from Caroline’s collection (things like some beautiful tree bubbles with candles she suggested) and the items I would be giving to her (things like orders of services for the church) and also what signage she was going to create for us. This meant everything was super organised and clear during the last few weeks (when things could be peak stressful). I felt I was able to be totally on top of things early with Caroline’s help. Caroline was also the best at replying to emails / messages. Just totally on it and made me feel like everything was under control. This was exactly what I wanted. Not only was Caroline’s organisation fantastic, but on the day we were honestly gobsmacked by how beautiful it all looked. It totally exceeded expectations. It was magical, the details were perfect, everything was laid out just so. The extra touches such as the beautiful signage and lights in the trees were just amazing. I used Caroline for wedding styling and signage and the service is incredible value for money for the absolute top quality that you get.

Fantastic experience: Caroline did an amazing job, she completely decorated the whole venue perfectly alongside the florist, cake and venue staff and did a magical job, all without stressing me out on the day at all. She also arrived the next day to tidy up! To top it off, she saved us so much money as we were able to hire all the things we needed as part of the same package, she also did all our signage!!! If you are getting married, I couldn't recommend The Planning Lounge enough!!

Fantastic experience: We reached out to Caroline to help style our wedding venue and to also provide two signs, one welcome and one seating. Dealing with Caroline was brilliant, her professional manner, quick replies to our enquiries and friendly persona made dealing with her very easy. We visited our venue with Caroline where she used her experience but also listened to what we required and she absolutely delivered. Our venue was styled exactly how we wanted and we couldn't of asked for anything else. We would highly recommend Caroline's services to anyone. The two signs she made for us were fantastic and we were delighted with them! 5 stars for the planning lounge and we can't speak highly enough of Caroline!

I was really nervous about all the separate parts coming together prior to the day but Caroline ensured everything ran seamlessly ensuring we had the most perfect and relaxed day! Having a 6 month old and planning a wedding was tricky, but Caroline made sure we stayed on track and was invaluable on the day! We are so grateful and would highly recommend Caroline!

Fantastic experience: Caroline was brilliant throughout, she was so helpful, friendly and very responsive. She went above and beyond for us - less than a week before our wedding, we asked if she had any Gold Votives available for hire. Sadly they were unavailable for another hire, but Caroline was amazing and offered to go to the wholesaler to see if she could source any for our wedding. Luckily she was able to source more and let us know very quickly. Thank you for being so helpful and we would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Caroline was amazing from start to finish with styling our venue for our wedding reception. She was very professional and super quick at replying to any questions or queries we had. She listened to the ideas I already had and added to them perfectly to put them together to create a beautiful setting. We had so many compliments on the wedding stationary such as the menu cards and the table plan. Every little detail and finishing touch was perfect down to the calligraphy on the welcome sign and tiny gold paperclips to hold menus and name tags together. Caroline took all of the stress out of planning and putting together the decor for the wedding and we absolutely loved what she did. It was perfect!

Fantastic experience: It was such a pleasure to work with Caroline. After trawling through Pinterest and Instagram I had a good idea of how I wanted our venue to be styled but I wasn’t sure how it would be achieved on the day - I certainly wouldn’t have had time to set it up myself! I was so pleased when I found Caroline - we had several meetings to discuss ideas in the run up to our big day and a couple of meetings at the venue itself. When our wedding day came it was so reassuring to know that she would oversee everything, as well as helping to move items from the church to repurpose them at the reception venue. Fantastic experience: Where to start? From the very beginning Caroline has been an absolute hero and a pleasure to work with. She’s helped us take care of every detail, working hard to help us find our perfect suppliers, creating a beautiful design brief to help us capture our style, and been a constant source of knowledge, support and advice when it comes to all the legalities, little intricacies and details that wedding planning entails! Like many couples, we’ve sadly had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and I honestly don’t think we would have made it through without Caroline. As soon as the possibility of postponement loomed Caroline was there to give us all the advice we needed, as well as being a hugely supportive shoulder to cry on. Once we made the decision to postpone, she hit the ground running, taking on the huge task of contacting suppliers, renegotiating contracts, and transitioning everything over to our new date. On our request, she took everything out of our hands, and worked tirelessly to achieve the impossible. We’re so thankful for all of her help and support, and look forward to working with her to get everything back on track for our new date. If you’re thinking of getting married then don’t hesitate to book a wedding planner, we absolutely cannot recommend Caroline highly enough! Rosanna & Jamie

Fantastic experience: I had to plan my wedding from abroad and I’m so so happy I’ve found Caroline! She sorted everything out and our wedding was exactly the way we wanted! She also gave us some ideas, considering our budget, and we were really happy with the result!

Negative experience: I wish I could leave a satisfied review of working with Caroline Green at The Planning Lounge. Unfortunately, she failed to live up to the services advertised. She was helpful with getting us on track at the beginning, and was able to make vendor recommendations - about half of which ended up being good (one we had to replace shortly before the wedding due to poor ability and another we had to seek partial refund from due to quality issues, but two others were good), which is why I'm leaving 2 stars for her. However, just over a month before the wedding she began negotiating against us to add unwanted services to a vendor's bill, who she clearly had a personal relationship with (after a 3rd party vendor was eliminated, she wanted us to backfill that value and then some with the florist who initially consolidated the 3rd party vendor's cost onto a single proposal with her own services) - and when we were not willing, she stopped proactively working to support our wedding day, suggested we were a problem, and volunteered to let us terminate her services. Unfortunately, we chalked the harsh words up to email-based communication gaffs rather than something we should have seriously considered. In the week before the wedding, she only answered one phone call, and that was the day of the wedding after we had already gotten the issue resolved elsewhere. As the bride, I only saw her once before the ceremony - she was not available to support myself or my husband at any point leading up to the ceremony even though she was onsite, and had caused stress for us (rather than alleviate it) the day before. I've never seen a wedding planner do so little to be present for the couple actually getting married on the day of a wedding. On her website she says her remit is “to ensure all events run as scheduled.” During the day, she failed to manage timelines, to the point that we were over 2 hours behind schedule. Part of this was to do with the kitchen at the venue, but she did nothing to manage the vendor issue - to the point that on my wedding day I was dealing with the kitchen manager, rather than enjoying time with my guests, and Caroline was nearly nowhere to be seen. She says she will manage the vendors and logistics so the couple can “relax and enjoy a flawless celebration from start to finish,” but she did not do that for us. Maybe if we had let her strong-arm us into paying her friend hundreds of extra pounds for flowers we didn't want, she would have tried to deliver the promised day - but we'll never know. I do know that my experience of my wedding day was no where near a relaxed or flawless celebration though... So, I cannot recommend Caroline Green or The Planning Lounge, as the service provided did not match the advertised expectations. If I had it to do again, I would certainly work with someone else. I hope my experience is valuable to others considering working with her, and that others who do work with her have a better experience than we did. (My guests were also confused that she thought it appropriate to wear a white tunic. Not a primary issue, but it does speak to what you can expect from her.) **Edited to add** At no point did we seek compensation back from Caroline. After our wedding we asked for a partial refund from one vendor (referenced above), and the venue itself offered to host us on another occasion to make up for their errors in the dinner service. The only other ask was the other recommended vendor noted above who we let go due to poor work. We asked if a partial refund was possible, as we had to hire another vendor, and accepted that the answer was no. There were also no conversations after the wedding with Caroline. We emailed a month later (after no outreach from her) with our feedback & informing her we would be reviewing her services. What followed were 2, largely defensive, emails. That's been the extent of all post-wedding communication with The Planning Lounge. The purpose of this review was so that future couples can benefit from our experience and, hopefully, have a better run day.
