Negative experience: My wedding was 31st july 2025. My experience was zinc was not the best. The meetings before hand were good however on the day of my wedding they were late and still setting up the decor while guest were arriving which was embarrassing and disgusting considering the amount they had overcharged especially fir decor. The decor was very different to what i had discussed. They also spelt my name wrong on the welcome sign. Which was great. The staff (event co ordinator) on the day were extremely rude to me and my family. I had discussed last minute chair decor with them over text which the lady said was fine but on the day advised i didnt pay so she didnt bring them. (I was willing to pay extra for them if it was mentioned but it never was she just said it was fine for them to do) overall not worth the price at all. They over charge more than most companies to give you a below average service. So disappointing

Fantastic experience: Big shout out to Zinc occasions who done my wedding From the food to decor everything was on point Big shout out to Melissa who went through everything carefully on tasting day , was very patient and always gave great ideas. The food was amazing , the guest loved everything from the canapés, starters , mains and desserts and that is something that everyone always remember. The food !! Also a massive shout out to Meena who was in the room managing the function smoothly, and communicating with other vendors and staff the venue and family , if your looking to get married and looking for an Asian Caterer, honestly go with Ibrar and the team as they are very flexible, cater to what you want and need and are very easy to work with Thank you again .

Fantastic experience: 10/10 Going with Zinc occasions for catering and decorations was one of the best decisions we made! They were honestly perfect! Melissa is one of the kindest and loveliest people we've met. She really made our vision come true and as a result we had our dream wedding! She was imaginative, thoughtful, detail-oriented, patient, organised and calm. She had a true passion for what she did and adapted on the day when we wanted canapes out earlier for example! All the guests were impressed with both the food and the decorations. Would highly recommend and will certainly be going with them for future events!

Fantastic experience: WOW WOW WOW. Where do I even begin. Melissa, Ibrar and their team were recommended to me through a friend, and how lucky was I! Melissa saved me from potential turmoil during the last stages of my wedding. The customer service, support and care & consideration which was provided to myself, my partner and my family during this time was next to none. The entire set up of the venue was absolutely breathtaking. It was far more luxurious than what I had envisioned and brainstormed with Melissa prior. I am incredibly thankful for all that Melissa did to make all of our wedding dreams come true. Fantastic experience: Had a small event which was organised by zinc occasions and honestly I’m so glad I booked with them because they did everything and more! I had absolutely no stress throughout my event as it was handled completely by them and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! If you want something where you want to be stress free and enjoy your event, zinc occasions are the ones! From the food to the staff everything and everyone was elite and extremely professional! Fantastic experience: We hired Zinc to cater for our wedding. We sampled a few companies and all of them made delicious food but Zinc stood out because they were very accommodating to our wishes and never said no to something but always offered soultions. They even were happy to create dishes that weren't on their menu. They were very easy to work and communicate with from the very beginning and we felt we could trust them. On the day itself, they were on top of everything and professional throughout. The food was fantastic and received lots of compliments from our guests. The staff were friendly and professional and made everyone feel very well looked after. I definitely recommend Zinc to anyone looking for caterers. My wife and I are very grateful to them.

Fantastic experience: Ibrar, Melissa, and the rest of the team are absolutely brilliant. You will really struggle to find anyone else who provides the complete package and execute it as well as they do. They did the mehndi (wedding party) for my sister and went above and beyond. We will continue to use them for our events and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Negative experience: Zinc just catered for an mehndi event and a dholki event I went to. Unfortunately their food hygiene is atrocious!!! A lot of the attendees have ended up with severe gastroenteritis! To the point where attending other events is being compromised!!! I have to say heard high things about them before but I will never ever use them or recommend them. For that many people to get unwell means they have no care for hygiene and don’t follow proper procedures !!!! Such a shame for the family who hired them with such high hopes and expectations!

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to send a message of thanks for everything that you did for me during the course of my wedding. From being so understanding when I had to postpone because of my fiancé’s health, to fitting us in at very last minute for our new dates and to making my vision become a reality (even with me stressing you guys out with the million messages ha). Honestly I’m so happy how it all turned out. Alhumdulilah it all looked amazing and everyone couldn’t believe that my back garden could look that way - we literally were transported into what could have been some fancy hall elsewhere. The food was amazing, on time, delicious and a real hit with the guests so again thank you so much. I will always and forever recommend you guys to anyone I know as I do truly believe you’re the best out there. Fantastic experience: Ibrar and the entire Zinc team were only the best, and they turned my dreams into reality for my wedding. I got married at the stunning Devonshire Dome in Buxton back in February 2024. Not only did my guests enjoy the event, but I as the bride also had a lot of fun! The event ran very smoothly, everything and everyone were taken care of, the decor was so intricate and stunning, and oh my goodness the food was immaculate!!!! I’ve known Ibrar for a very long time now, and he also planned my brother’s “lockdown” wedding in such a beautiful way. If you’re looking for a stress-free event planner, without having to compromise the quality and standard of your dreams, then do yourself a favour and book Zinc Occasions. Fantastic experience: Amazing ! Can’t fault them at all What a team

Negative experience: Very disappointed with lack of professionalism and communication. I needed house decorations for my daughters wedding. After asking for photos of what I needed doing which I subsequently sent, I received no response despite numerous efforts to make contact. Failure to communicate showed total disregard for customer service which clearly is not a priority for them. Would not recommend them to anybody.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional service!! The team ensured my event ran smoothly from the table setting, to the delicious food which was served piping hot and exactly on time to the excellent choice of plated desserts. The extensive menu choice had many people asking who the caterer was as the food was throughly enjoyed by all. The staff were professional, approachable and extremely hands on, they left the facilities in immaculate condition and I could not recommend this team highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Had Zinc Occasions for my wedding day at Tatton Park. Ibrar was really accommodating and even changed things around for us. He did an amazing job on my decor. I had asked for an enchanted forest theme and he delivered. The food was also amazing. I have people still talking about the wedding decor, the food and the atmosphere 4 years on, saying how it was some of the best food they had tasted at a wedding. They also did my brothers wedding & everything was great. Would definitely recommend. We had a really good experience and got what we wanted.

Fantastic experience: Ibrar was amazing throughout the process, listened to all of our wants/needs and even allowed us to basically design our own stage decor which turned our exactly how we wanted for our wedding reception. Fantastic experience: *I'd give 10 stars if I could!* Zinc organised and managed our wedding day at the beautiful Tatton Park, Cheshire. We had multiple consultations before the big day, I made lots of changes to the guest numbers, menu and decor decisions...even up to a few days before! But Ibrar (Zinc manager) was so patient and responsive to my constant queries! The day itself was beyond anything I could have imagined - completely organised, we didn't feel any stress at all because Ibrar and the team took care of everything! From the nikkah set up and wedding decor, stage, flowers to the welcome drinks and canapés, catering, food service...it was all so beautifully organised! My husband and I, our families and our almost 300 guests were all completely blown away and 10 days later we're still getting constant compliments from our guests about how much they loved the whole day! Hats off to every member of the Zinc team for an amazing day - cannot recommend them enough! Thank you for making our day absolutely beautiful!

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say that Ibrar the owner at Zinc really made my dream wedding come true. Everything from start to finish was really organised and absolutely perfect. The food and decor were a massive hit, our guests are still talking about it. Nothing was too big a task for his team, they are reliable, punctual and absolute hard workers. Ibby is very approachable- and despite all the last minute changes we had, he was always on board with a smile. If I had to do it all over again, I’d go with zinc occassions any day!!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service, personal touch and great food, from start to finish perfect

Negative experience: Very poor management from Jaffar. If you are unlucky to get him as the manager, forget about having the wedding you want. I would give them 5 stars as the food was great and decor was great. But we had 3 meetings before the wedding to agree the nitty gritty of the details. He didn't stick to any of them, he got the set up of the venue wrong, he didn't manage anything on the day, we had to tell him what to do. The icing on the cake, he rang the bride an hour before the mendhi to confirm decor details and the spelling of the bride and groom's name.

Fantastic experience: Mr ibrar is a gentleman i had to cancel my son wedding which could not took place because of the lockdown i did pay £5000 deposit to mr ibrar which he refund all my money back to me and i would recommend zinc occasions to everyone

Fantastic experience: Zinc occasions delivered a five star day at my sisters wedding last Sunday at Thornton manor. Everything went extremely smoothly with little to no hiccups and we never felt as if we were being ignored. They managed to give my sister her dream day, and then some with how amazing the day with. The staff were extremely nice to talk to and work with, and planning was made as easy and stress free as possible. Massive thanks to everyone there for performing so well and giving my sister the day of her dreams.

Ibrar oversees everything and is always easy to communicate with and I was impressed by the transparency in the pricing. Fantastic experience: We used Zinc occasions for the first time for my sisters wedding on the 24th March at Thornton Manor, and have had the best experience ever. The food, communication and staging was absolutely amazing, nothing but compliments from ourselves and other guests and I can not recommend them enough. Although we had a few complications on the day with regards to seats and tables due to extra guests arriving, JAY did an amazing job at handling this smoothly and was there at our beck and call throughout the whole process, he did an amazing job at running the event. A big big thank you to JAY, IBRAR and the team for overcoming any complications we had on the day, you guys made my sisters wedding one to remember. We will certainly be coming back to use this service and recommend anyone to do the same! 10/10

Fantastic experience: We have used Zinc Occasions for 2 Family weddings now, on both occasions Ibrar and the team at Zinc out did any expectations we had. The stages, décor and food was loved by all the guests. The arrangements from start to finish were done with ease and professionalism, we were treated like family. Weddings are stressful enough but with Zinc all the stress of arrangements were taken away with a few simple face to face meetings. Brilliant job and thanks from my dad and uncle.

Negative experience: I booked Zinc Occasions for my wedding at Tatton Park in August 2018 and i have been waiting to write an honest review about my experience with them, to help anyone decide whether to book them. I have seen previous reviews and understand that a lot of people have had a good experience but unfortunately for me I did not. From the moment i booked Zinc i had nothing but problems. My main point of contact was Dean, who every time i met up with clearly showed he did not want to be there. He tuts, huffs and puffs throughout every meeting, i honestly don't know why he still works there if he hates it so much? I constantly had to chase him for a meeting, then he lied that i did not contact him. I contacted Ibrar after showing him proof of texts and he dealt with it. Zinc were in charge of my whole wedding planning, from the food to the hall decor, stage and any extras. If you are a wedding planning service your job is to PLAN THE WEDDING. They left it 1 week! before the wedding, me constantly chasing them to finalise everything. And I don't know where Ibrar was in this whole time. I had no idea what was going on with my wedding planning from the day i booked because these guys don't know how to communicate or get back to their clients. I understand they can get very busy during wedding period but that is not the clients problem. That is the business's problem and it is their job to improve on their own efficiency. If they can't handle the business they should not take on more clients than they can handle, or hire an admin person purely for communicating with clients. On my wedding day they honestly did a really nice job with the decor. Ibrar was very helpful throughout the day. The food was nice although the guests said the veg curry was undercooked. And yet again Dean created problems. We booked 2 rounds of welcome drinks, one round for when the brides family arrive and one for the grooms entrance. Dean takes it upon himself to hand out all the welcome drinks to just the brides, leaving nothing for the grooms entrance. When my sister called him up on it he was so unhelpful and childish and said "well they were late." If you have made an agreement with someone, you expect the other party to uphold that agreement, not do whatever they want. I do not care if they were late, if i am paying for a service i expect to receive the service that i have agreed and paid for. But Dean did what he wanted and completely disregarded what I wanted. So he charged me £100 for a guest table where he literally just slapped a fabric on with the 1 guest book. This was obviously not what i agreed and paid for. My sister questioned Dean where the decor was, and only then did he add on all the candles and tree etc we agreed on. I cannot believe this guy still works there with this type of behaviour and attitude. There were numerous occasions both before and on my actual wedding day which were completely out of order unnecessary and stressful, I can't believe i paid these guys over 10k for such a horrendous experience. I had so many breakdowns because of Zinc, and Dean especially. If i could do it all again i would never book these guys and i do not recommend anyone else to either. I'd rather pay extra booking someone else just to save all the headache and stress that i went through for 7 months. This may sound brutal but this is the honest truth. I'm not the one to mess with anyones business but my intention behind this review is that if i could save someone going through what i went through then my job is done. Salam.

Fantastic experience: We used zinc for my cousin Ahsan's wedding. Ibrar & his team were extremely helpful & accomodating through out the planning for this occasion. The food was 2nd to none & the venue was dressed to a high standard. Thank you for making this day special!

Negative experience: Booked an appointment to discuss catering and decoration. The person didn't turn up and after ringing him several times he finally picked up the phone and said he was sleeping.
