Fantastic experience: Ionian Weddings created our absolute dream wedding day. My husband and I got engaged last January and were married in Kefalonia at St George’s Chapel in August. With only six months to plan, we knew we had a challenge ahead, but Ionian Weddings exceeded every expectation. Our wedding planners, Emma and Dimitra, were incredible from start to finish. They made the entire process feel calm and stress-free and delivered everything exactly as we had envisioned. On the day itself, every member of the team from the caterers to the DJ and celebrant was of the highest standard, something all of our guests commented on. Dimitra ran the day like clockwork and truly went above and beyond. Our photographer, Dora, was an absolute dream. She and her assistant were so much fun to work with and captured the most beautiful, natural photos we could have hoped for. Booking a venue we had never seen, choosing flowers and a cake without meeting anyone in person felt like a huge leap of faith, but everything was executed to an exceptional standard. Fantastic experience: I booked our wedding through Zonian Weddings after reading some online reviews and recommendations. From choosing our destination up until the final touches for our big day Ionian weddings made this as stress free and easy as could be! Our UK wedding planner Emma went over and above to make planning stress free! Her friendly approach and personality made it so easy to ask questions and share my ideas which she really brought to life! We had never visited our venue so planning was done via email and video calls, every idea and wish I had was organised efficiently by Emma, even my last minute ideas! When we arrived in Portugal we then met our local planner Marta who again went over and above to make sure our special day was perfect! Marta made sure our day was set up to perfection and also stayed for the entire day and ensured it all ran like clock work! We had the absolute best day and best experience with Ionian Weddings. Anyone thinking about having a destination wedding .. do it! And I’d highly recommend using Ionian Weddings! They really gave us our perfect day.

Fantastic experience: I had my wedding in Malta with Ionian wedding and Emma was my planner who was very helpful and attentive to all my questions and requests. We even managed to organise a horse entrance at the venue 3 weeks before and I really appreciated that. Would 100% recommend me for destination weddings!

Fantastic experience: We got married at the beautiful San Galgano in mid October of 2025 and we had the most incredible time. Ionian, and specifically our wedding planner Emma, made the process of planning the wedding completely stress free and we felt we could trust them entirely. There was never any pressure to have add ons provided but also no ask was too big. They say that planning a wedding is really stressful but we definitely did not feel that way! The venue of San Galgano and the package that Ionian offered was amazing, when looking to get married abroad by far Ionian was miles better than any other company. Our actual time at San Galgano exceeded all of our expectations, Serena our wedding coordinator out in Tuscany, and all the staff at San Galgano were incredibly friendly and helpful. And the small touches, like having someone carving ham at the starter buffet table, and serving some of the main meal as silver service, made our day even more special. We wish we could just re-live it over and over again. Throughout this whole process I have already been singing Ionian weddings praises, but I genuinely could not recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: We’ve not long returned ed from our beautiful wedding in Crete and just want to say anyone thinking of booking their wedding through Ionians just do it! We was so nervous about booking an abroad wedding but we’ve had such an fab experience with them from start to finish. Fantastic experience: A great experience from start to finish. My now husband and I decided we'd like to get married in the sun and having visited Sorrento a couple of years prior decided it would be the perfect location to do this. We are so happy we found Ionian Weddings to help us plan our perfect day. We dealt with Emma from the UK team throughout the planning process. Met with Gemma and Anna for our venue viewings and were lucky to have Anna with us again for our wedding day. Fantastic experience: We recently got married at the breathtaking San Galgano Abbey in Tuscany, and we honestly couldn’t have done it without Ionian Weddings. From start to finish, the whole process was seamless and far less stressful than you’d imagine planning a destination wedding might be. The wonderful Emma in London was our first point of contact and made everything feel clear, straightforward, and exciting from the very beginning. Fantastic experience: We’ve had the most wonderful wedding day planned and coordinated by Ionian Weddings in Crete! Our wedding took place in the most gorgeous villa, surrounded by the hills and with beautiful sea views. The organisation of this was made easy by the wonderful planning of Rachael and Liz! They knew and delivered exactly what we’ve asked for in terms of decorations and the whole on the day look. They’ve also helped us with all of the formalities which is always the least fun part of wedding planning. The communication was always great and nothing was too much to ask for. Fantastic experience: Wow just wow! We had our wedding at Sea View by En Kipo in Chania, Crete. Rachel and Liz from Ionian weddings did an absolutely amazing job at taking away any stress of planning a wedding and were so efficient and helpful. Fantastic experience: trailing aimlessly on google for a venue, then Ionian website just popped up, and I am forever grateful for whatever I googled that day for them to appear! With so many beautiful venues in so many beautiful countries it was just a matter of picking a country and they were on the phone and emails helping with dates and venues. When I settled on a country we looked at venues, they helped me narrow ones down with my budget and boom! Just like that I had my dream venue with everything I wanted! I had an incredible planner, we spoke on zoom, we emailed we chatted and laughed, spoke through my vision for our big day! The process was a pretty straight forward, gave us our catalogue of decor, cake and we had time to fill them out and she was always there if I had any questions. Closer to the wedding they kept me right with deadlines and paperwork. My planners both in the UK and Cyprus were great, meeting the Cyprus planner was a lovely moment and she was understanding and easy to chat to, being there to support us a few days before the wedding and then again on the wedding day. Our wedding was a fairytale of a day, a day I don’t think anyone will ever forget, and it wouldn’t have been that day without Ionian Forever grateful, for making my day a day to remember

Fantastic experience: We want to thank Ionian and their amazing vendors on making our day so perfect and magical as we recently had a villa wedding in Crete. A special shout out to Rachel and Liz who are absolute super stars!! But the whole team have been amazing with the support and planning throughout our experience. We cannot put into words just how amazing the whole experience was, the location was absolutely stunning, we have had friends and family rave about how all the food was one of the best they have ever had and we have just felt so supported and well taken care of from the very start right through to the big day. Fantastic experience: Our Tuscan wedding was nothing short of amazing. From the start we felt at ease with Emma who was always very responsive to any questions we had and the timeline/deadlines were made clear to avoid any last minute stress. Emma was always very friendly and available to liaise between ourselves and the venue to ensure a smooth process and pieced together our perfect day. Once in Italy we were met by our co-ordinator Serena who not only made us feel extremely calm, but executed our perfect wedding flawlessly. After running through the day beforehand and handing over anything we brought with us, we were able to have a completely stress-free day as everything was taken care of for us. The staff at Ionian were personable and seemed to genuinely care about your upcoming experience. Memories were made with our closest family and friends in the most stunning venue that will last a lifetime.

Fantastic experience: A true dedication to customer service, Ionian Weddings was the only abroad wedding company that actually listened to what we wanted (a few very specific requirements) and sent over appropriate locations - most of the other sites didn’t send appropriate recommendations. From the moment of booking, Rachel made the whole process so easy - updates and reminders sent regularly, along with occasional check ins to make sure I’m happy and if I have any Qs. Very quick responses, even if it was to inform me of the team being busy, but always provided a date of when they’d be able to get back to my request. I never thought planning a wedding would be so easy, but Rachel was amazing and on top of everything for me. The team understand the importance of your wedding and work so hard to make everything easy for you, which is a godsend. The post wedding care isn’t lacking either, you feel valued and cared for the entire process. Couldn’t recommend more.

Fantastic experience: When we decided to get married in Hvar, Croatia, we were slightly apprehensive as to how everything would work, especially from abroad. We came across Ionian Weddings online and they had amazing reviews, so we thought we would try them. From the very beginning, our UK wedding planner Maria was fantasic. She helped put our minds at ease, by answering all of our questions and providing us with the reassurance that we needed. She was always so quick to respond to our questions and explained things very clearly. If we were unsure about something, we would seek her guidance and she helped us tremendously with our decision making! We were then put in touch with Ariana, the wedding coordinator in Croatia. Ariana's relaxed style also made us feel like we were in good hands. She, too, explained clearly how things would work once we were there. We must say both of them made a fantastic team and having them as our planners took all of the stress away. When we got to Hvar, it all became real when we met Ariana face to face and saw the venue that we would be getting married in. The venue itself was incredible. Everything from the decor, the lights, the flowers and the food/drink was way beyond our expectations. It was truly magical and we can't thank the both of them enough for bringing our vision to life. Our guests also commented on how great Ariana was as our celebrant. She made sure the day went smoothly and was always available if we needed her. We are so grateful for choosing Ionian Weddings to organise our special day and we would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to marry abroad.....we had a blast and made amazing memories with our friends and family. Fantastic experience: I can not thank Ionian Weddings enough! We had our dream wedding in the Algarve Portugal it was so easy and stress free. Emma I can not thank you enough! You wasn't just our wedding planner but also felt like a friend, step by step guidance throughout, from colours, flowers, even reading through my vows as I didn't have anyone to share them with. I had so many questions and they got answered straight away. Also can't thank our wedding planners in the Algarve for making the day run so smoothly. Everyone commented on how amazing and stress free our wedding was and truly couldn't of done it with out you guys! Fantastic experience: We decided to book our wedding through Ionian weddings after reading reviews and researching the company, we were not disappointed. Our wedding planner Rachel was lovely, she guided us through everything and what i loved about her is she was very honest, if she felt we didn’t need something she would say- rather than waste money on unnecessary things. It was a very stress free experience. Liz the wedding coordinator in Greece was just amazing, you could tell that she really cared about our special day. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. Negative experience: Booked with Ionian weddings because they had good reviews. My dream was to get married on a beach so we chose Skiathos in Greece. Booked and paid deposit then didn't have any contact from Ionian for months. We visited Skiathos one year before the wedding so we could check out the beach, venue and the weather temperature etc. Contacted Ionian ( Patricia) whilst there to ask if the wedding planner might be able to meet us to show us beach etc, initially said she would find out but never got a response. No further contact with them until few months before the wedding when filling out final details sheet. One of the questions was time of ceremony. Originally put 6pm and then after consideration thought it would be too rushed (fitting in ceremony, 2 hours of photography, welcome drinks, 5 course meal, 1 hour of Greek dancers and 4 hours of DJ with restaurant closing at 1am (you do the maths) so asked to bring it forward to 4pm. Nothing said by Ionian at this point until they spoke to George (wedding planner in Greece) who said - beach ceremonies cannot happen until 7pm so begs the question of why Ionian didn't tell me this straight away or even better on booking (nothing on website) as would never have booked at all if I had known this. On finding out this information I considered cancelling the entire wedding but guests had paid for flights/accommodation so didn't have a choice but to continue. To add insult to injury was told flippantly by Helen - "oh well think it best if we move the ceremony to Bourtzi" (not beach) which was insensitive at best as the whole point of booking was to have beach wedding. George (Greek planner) then got involved which was their only saving grace and changed the beach and brought it forward to 6.30pm (still not ideal but at least he helped). Various other issues, loads of extra costs not stated on website or in package. Travel for guests included as per package (but only one way)! Paid £100+ for a wedding car which turned up 20 mins late and was a filthy taxi driven by a rude man who spent the whole time on the phone throughout both journeys. Tried to charge for a cake stand which was included and then spoke to George who sorted straight away. Basically the only good thing Ionian did was sort out the UK paperwork. George and his partner were great as was the music man and the photographer but would never recommend Ionian. Had a fantastic wedding and Despina at Olive Thea was fantastic too - however as expected whole thing was rushed through as not enough time. So Ionian weddings make this clear on your website regarding beach wedding time!!!

Fantastic experience: It has always been our dream to get married in Santorini, Greece, and we can't thank Ionian Weddings enough for making our Wedding Day dream come true! Rachel Jackson, our dedicated wedding planner, has been absolutely superb throughout, responsive to all of our questions and attentive to our needs as a couple. Everything was planned to a tee, and for someone who is a bit of a control freak, I honestly didn't have to worry about anything on the day, apart from showing up and saying yes! :D The views, the food, the venue, the staff...it was everything we wanted and more! We chose Thermes Luxury Villas as our venue and it was just perfect for not only the Wedding Day, but for making precious memories with our family and friends in the final days leading up to the big day. Fantastic experience: We knew we wanted to get married in Sorrento and had already picked the locations but beyond that had no clue where to start. We picked Ionian as they had great reviews, were so quick to respond and they worked with the venues we wanted! As soon as we booked with them, they took over and really sorted everything. No one could believe how relaxed we were about wedding planning and we kept saying it was because our wedding planners were sorting it all. We had Maria as our UK wedding planner and she was absolutely fab - so quick to reply and no question/concern was ever a problem! In Italy we had the absolute pleasure of working with Anna - she really matched our vibe of keeping things relaxed and not stressed/intense/panicky yet the day still went by PERFECTLY without a hitch. Anna was absolutely amazing and we were so glad she was part of our day - every time we seen her she had a big smile and we instantly felt relaxed. Our day was everything we could have wanted and we would not change one thing about it, all thanks to Ionian and the incredible team of planners who brought everything together. Fantastic experience: There is only one word to describe our whole wedding planning process and wedding day - perfect! From the first time we contacted Ionian Weddings to the treatment we received after the wedding was incredible. Patricia was so helpful in answering all of our questions and recommending wedding venues before we booked Thalassines private beach. Then, our UK wedding planner (Helen) was absolutely fabulous. She was so responsive, caring, organised and had a great eye for detail. She made the wedding planning experience completely stress-free. Once we landed in Cyprus, Cathy (our wedding coordinator) took over from Helen to make sure everything went as planned. She was outstanding! Cathy allowed us to just enjoy our holiday and wedding day without worrying about a thing. She was unbelievably amazing at her job! Also, everyone involved in the actual day (hair stylist, venue manager, venue staff, photographer and DJ) were brilliant! All of our guests can’t stop talking about our wedding and how perfect the venue/day was! Would happily do it all again!

Fantastic experience: Our wedding day was wonderful; thank you to George our local planner for ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food was amazing, as were the greek dancers and Groom Therapy band were fantastic- a good time was had by all. The only slight down side was the boat transfer to the reception took a long time which affected how much party time we had and the legal process/ paperwork at the UK side was not as smooth as we had anticipated. This was a shame as it involved several solicitor visits but it did not take away from the enjoyment on our special day. Overall we would highly recommended ionian weddings and and the local planners/suppliers involved in making our day one to remember forever.

Positive experience: We’ve just had our photos through from our dream wedding! The service from initial Exploration with Patricia was really good and very responsive. Once we signed up It would’ve been helpful to have more contact with our wedding coordinator as there’s quite a lot of documentation to get sorted and to look through. However, shortly after we were given Emma and she was brilliant checking in with me That I was on track with my documentation asking any questions that I had big or small to make sure I felt totally reassured for the day And that we had all the documentation and detail in place. When we got to Sorrento, our wedding coordinator Gemma was amazing. We spent half a day with Gemma a couple of days before the wedding and she talked to us through everything and we went to all of the location Day. On the day, Gemma made sure everything ran like clockwork whether it was gathering guests, Organising the photographers sorting out my dress or just being a sounding board for my worries when it’s starts to rain. When you get there, you really see how it all comes And I definitely want to send a special thanks to both Emma and Gemma for making sure that we were well looked after. The only problem is the day went far too quickly and we’d love to do it all over again.

Fantastic experience: We would highly recommend Ionian Weddings to anyone who is thinking about using their services. After finding our perfect venue in Sorrento (via a google image search!) we had to find out how we could book that particular venue. Initially we contacted several companies but it was clear from our early interactions with Lucy (who was amazing!), that Ionian were not only more knowledgeable, but super friendly too and were able to guide us every step of the way from pre-booking information, all the way to our big day! Our U.K. based wedding planner Emma was also fantastic, always prompt in her communication keeping us updated and helping us navigate through our deadlines and paperwork etc. We couldn't have asked for anyone more pleasant and professional to work with and who was always keeping us right every step of the way. Then our Italian wedding planner Anna who was so lovely, knowledgable and organised! She kept us at ease the entire time, and we knew we were in good hands with her in Italy both for our pre-wedding meetings and the our big day. I know it's cliched but our wedding day was honestly perfect and exceeded our own expectations- our guests had the most fantastic experience, as did we- there were genuine gasps of awe at the venue, scenery and all the added touches that were pre-arranged thanks to the help of all the outstanding staff. The pictures, videos and memories we made with all our loved ones will last a lifetime. Fantastic experience: We decided to get married in Sorrento, Italy and used Ionian Weddings due to the positive reviews and comprehensive, reasonably priced packages available. Although slightly apprehensive - as we have never attended a wedding abroad - we certainly weren't disappointed. The booking process and wedding arrangements all ran smoothly as a result of the help and support from our UK planner Maria and Viola in Sorrento made sure everything ran to plan on the big day! We were married in Sorrento and had our reception at Villa Antiche Mura and I can honestly say the experience of the day exceeded all our expectations - together with those of our guests. Fantastic experience: Our dream wedding in Santorini Where to even begin… We would like to say a huge thank you to Rachel for all of her support, guidance, efforts and planning over the last year to make sure our wedding was nothing short of perfect. I honestly wouldn’t choose any other destination, Santorini was a dream wedding location, the views are spectacular and the weather was perfect the whole time we were there. Every one of our guests said it was the best wedding they have been to, it was truly magical and a day that will be remembered and reminisced forever. Giannis and Voula ensured everything looked beautiful on the day at Le Ciel and our vision really came to life. The flowers, the aisle, the welcome board, the seating plan, the list could go on - it was all perfect. The service from the staff at Le Ciel was amazing, not a single person had an empty glass on the day, they were so attentive and this was recognised by all of our guests. Kimonos and magic videography - we have received a sneak preview of the photos taken on the day and they are better than we could ever have imagined! Fotinos the sax player was absolutely incredible - he kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night. All of our guests loved him! We couldn’t possibly thank you all enough - but a special thank you to Rachel, who helped make this all possible. What we would do to rewind and do the whole day all over again! It was simply the best.

Fantastic experience: 100% recommend Ionian weddings if you're planning a wedding abroad. I was super skeptical about getting married abroad due to it being 'unknown' but the company were incredible. If anything, it was actually so much easier than planning a wedding in the UK as the planner (in our case the incredible Rachel) took care of everything. No question was ignored, and everything was taken care of. Then to mention the venue! Well, we got married in Santorini at Le Ciel and I cannot recommend enough. Every thing was perfect, and was truly like a dream come true. We had a planner at the wedding day who made everything run perfectly, and I didn't have any stresses at all! Fantastic experience: Planning a wedding, especially abroad, is a huge and stressful undertaking. I can safely say Ionian Weddings not only made it possible but completely surpassed our expectations throughout the entire process. Myself and my now wife were married in Santorini, Greece at a beautiful venue called El Viento. It is hard to call a day perfect, particularly a wedding day, but this was as close as it gets. Our UK planner, Rachel, was with us every step of the way supporting and organising our day. No request was too big despite being very busy organising multiple weddings. We felt very cared for and looked after. In Greece, our lovely facilliator Voula made sure every detail was considered and executed flawlessly. We personally felt the fees were very reasonable considering the wedding landscape. Ionian have a great system where you pick your base package at a set fee but can add on / upgrade aspects to your specification whilst keeping close control of the cost. For anyone unsure on whether to go ahead and work with Ionian for a dream destination wedding I can only say, from our experience, to go ahead and take the plunge. Fantastic experience: My husband and I got married 2 weeks ago at San Galgano Abbey in Tuscany, Italy, and we can honestly say we had the best day of our lives and this is all down to the incredible planning, guidance and support from Ionian Weddings! Maria was our wedding planner based here in England and right from the start, she was there to answer our million-and-one questions and nothing was too much for her to sort, even when adding extra bits on just a couple of weeks before the wedding date. She also offered in some of her own ideas which we absolutely loved and helped to make our day even more special, for example for our Prosecco tower, she suggested having fountain sparklers at this point which truly made a magical moment on our special day! Communication was fantastic, emails were answered promptly and our video calls with Maria also helped to set plans in place. During our wedding day, we had Serena who coordinated our wedding out in Italy, along with Nico from the venue itself. Both were absolutely incredible - Serena could tell that we were nervous about how everything would come together and she went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything and couldn’t have been anymore attentive on the day. Every tiny little detail of our wedding day was planned to perfection - the table decor was just stunning, the flowers matched our ‘sunset colour’ theme perfectly and our vision that we sent in photos truly came to life!! Positive experience: Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be and more. From start to finish of the planning process, Ionian Weddings were amazing. We had some tricky with the paperwork and making sure this was all correct but the team were a great help in answering our questions and making sure everything was sorted. Negative experience: I could give 5 stars for the retailers and external companies Ionian use, the photographers, musicians were amazing! Cannot fault them and the staff at Dana Villas. However the 2 stars are for Ionian, if I could do my wedding again I would not use Ionian, I feel like I could have organised my wedding day better and there wouldn’t have been any issues than what the day was. We got married in Santorini at Dana Villas and the Ionian planner in site was awful, there were a lot of parts that went wrong due to her poor planning and no attention to detail. I did report this back to Ionian in the UK who said they would provide us with a photo album of our wedding photos as an apology, 3 months later and we haven’t heard or received a thing…. As a company they don’t care about your special day as they should do, definitely not the experience we wanted and to this day I am upset that our day was tainted by the in site ‘planner’.

Fantastic experience: We got married in Sorrento in Sept 2023. As soon as we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to do it in Italy. Our wedding day was perfect and truly captured the classical and romantic Italian feel we wanted. We had our ceremony at the Cloisters followed by a reception at the Grand Hotel Royal. Our initial contact at Ionian was Pat who helped us with choosing our package. Maria was incredible during the entire planning process, always replying promptly and trying to accommodate our requests, and Viola (our co-ordinator in Italy) was exceptional. She was so thorough, organised and attentive that even some of our guests commented on what a great job she was doing on the day. Rosaria performed our ceremony and was lovely and warm. Fantastic experience: All I can say is WOW! I have always dreamed of getting married in Italy but was apprehensive about how difficult it would be and whether it would be a viable option for us. After looking at a few different companies online I discovered Ionian Weddings and loved how everything was customisable to suit every budget and there wasn't a huge fee added to the bill. From the initial planning stages all the way to the big day they were always there answering questions and genuinely could not have been more helpful. I got married in Tuscany in early September and it was magical. Serena took over when I got to Tuscany, and she was equally great. I knew right away that I was in good hands thanks to her warmth, kindness and fun personality. Fantastic experience: Ionian were amazing wedding planners and created our dream day. We got married at Sorrento Cloisters and had our reception at the Fattoria Terranova farmhouse. The whole day was perfect and ran so smoothly. Our UK wedding planner was Maria who was fantastic and answered all of our many questions promptly. She was always available by phone and email (even on her days off) to discuss details of the day and made the planning process extremely enjoyable. Our italian wedding planner Rosaria was incredible beyond words. We booked our wedding without visiting our venues (due to covid) and were nervous to finally see them only a few months before the wedding. When we met Rosaria at our pre wedding meeting in April, we knew we could put our complete trust in her to create the day of our dreams. She understood our vision and eased our nerves instantly. Both of the venues were truely phenomenal and we knew we had made the right decision in booking them. During our visit, she introduced us to the suppliers (who were all fantastic) and talked us through all of the details of the day. When we arrived back in Sorrento in August for the wedding we recieved the same exceptional service. Everything was so well organised and Rosaria went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us and our guests (even arranging a back up wedding car as it was forcast to rain and we had booked an open top car). We were incredibly grateful that she was our wedding interpreter as she helped to ease my nerves and emotions during the ceremony and she was fantastic at coordinating all of our guests. Everyone commented on how wonderful she was and how amazing all of the details were (from the lemon cart, to flowers and the smoothness of transport to and from the farmhouse). The staff at the Terranova farmhouse were wonderful and were incredibly acccomdating and helpful to our grandparents who have limited mobility. Fantastic experience: Firstly we didnt know where we wanted to get married but with discussions with ionian weddings it was clear that sorrento was the place for us. We dealt with Lindsay in the UK and she was so helpful and made it stress free for us the whole experience was lovely. When we arrived in sorrento Anna instantly got in touch with us with details and we arranged to meet and talk through the day, it was a lovely touch going to see the cloisters and foreigners but the best bit was going to the florist, lovely touch for us to speak to the florist. The day went without a single blip and it was the best day of our lives. We couldn't thank Ionian enough. Dont think just do it! You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: I got married in Italy in August 2023 and was overwhelmed by the brilliance of my wedding coordinators. Maria (my UK planner) was amazing at making sure all my queries were answered (she even called me on leave when our flights were cancelled). When we arrived in Italy, we were greeted by Viola who was superb. She was reassuring, considerate and totally focused on us having the day of our dreams. I don't think I will be able to adequately describe just how brilliant she was. Her attention to detail and meticulous planning made the day so utterly wonderful and she greatly reduced the anxiety. I cannot sing her praises highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble, nothing flummoxed her - she was just the perfect wedding coordinator and we are indebted to her.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin, I honestly cannot put into words to explain just how incredible my wedding was, it was a fairy tale dream come true. My whole wedding planning experience with Ionian weddings has been outstanding from the very first day up until my special day they had it all covered. Fantastic experience: We booked our Sorrento Cloisters and Hidden Hillside Gem wedding for August 2023 and our wedding day was absolutely perfect! The entire process - from initial contact, through all of the planning and preparations, down to the day itself - was brilliant and we would 100% recommend Ionian Weddings to anyone looking to plan a destination wedding in the future. - Federica was our initial consultant, she was fantastic at helping us find exactly what we want, she had loads of information for us, and she really helped us to know what to expect regarding timelines and all of the different options we could choose between. Even after her part was finished she was still happy to answer any extra questions we had! - Lindsay was our main UK wedding planner and she was incredible throughout the whole planning process! We had so many questions and small unique details that had to be dealt with and nothing was ever a problem. She was great at liaising with the team in Italy and communicating back to us, and she was also always happy to set up meetings at times that suited us, even when our own availability was quite tricky. Whenever any small detail may have caused a problem Lindsay was always able to provide solutions or alternatives with no issue! - Anna was our main wedding planner in Italy, she was amazing at taking us through our plans for the whole day (and the days leading up to the wedding), she knew every little detail and was happy to accommodate any last minute tweaks we needed! In our pre-wedding meetings she took us to both main locations and talked us through every step, as well as taking us to meet the florist and the manager for our pre-wedding drinks party! She also accompanied us to our hair and makeup trials. We were in regular communication throughout the week and she helped us to feel totally relaxed and stress-free! She even gave us some recommendations for local food spots, which were delicious! - Valeria was our extra wedding planner on the wedding day itself, she was super helpful at getting everything set up exactly how we wanted it for the Cloisters ceremony and also helped keep all of our guests organised. She was also kind enough to deliver a lost phone back to us at our hotel the next day! - Silvana and the team at the Hidden Hillside Gem reception were unbelievable! We had a pre-wedding meeting a few days before with Silvana and Anna, and we brought along a lot of extras like a guestbook, disposable cameras, wedding favours, etc. On the wedding day Silvana and the team had decorated everything beautifully, including laying out our personal touches exactly as we had envisioned! Throughout the evening Silvana dealt with a number of requests from our guests (including some needs for elderly guests) and nothing was a problem. The team were all incredibly friendly and helpful! The whole process with Ionian Weddings was totally stress-free from start to finish and we were able to focus on the elements that mattered to us the most, instead of worrying about the usual stresses associated with planning a wedding! We can't thank everyone enough for giving us such a perfect day - if you're considering a destination wedding you should definitely book with Ionian Weddings!

Fantastic experience: We married in Sorrento, Italy in July 2023 and Ionian Weddings gave us a wedding beyond what we could have ever dreamed of. We were allocated a UK based Wedding Planner (Maria) straightaway who reminded with us throughout the entire lead up to the wedding. Maria remained in regular contact with us throughout the entire planning process and responded to any emails / telephone calls quickly and promptly. It was very clear that Maria had close relationships with the local team in Sorrento, which is essential when you are making the decision to marry abroad. All we had to do was tell Maria what we wanted our dream wedding to look like and she arranged it all for us. She made sure that we were happy with every fine detail of our wedding and nothing was overlooked. We appreciated Maria organising a Teams meeting with us in advance of the wedding, as it gave us a chance to meet our planner face-to-face and have an in-depth discussion about the planning process. We were also allocated a local wedding planner in Sorrento (Antonella), who truly went above and beyond to ensure that our day went perfectly. We had a lengthy meeting with Antonella a few days before the wedding, where we visited the florist, ceremony and reception venues to make sure we were happy with every small detail for the big day. On our wedding day, Antonella remained with us throughout almost the entire day and nothing was too much trouble. She did everything, from liaising with staff to even adjusting my dress so it looked perfect in the photos! Ionian Weddings take care of all the legal paperwork for you once you have posted it to them. This takes the stress out of marrying abroad, meaning that all you need to do is show up on the day and cherish this special day in the sunshine with your friends and family. Thanks to Ionian, our wedding was truly the best day of our lives and if you are thinking of marrying abroad, I would recommend them without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: We recently got married in June 2023 at Relais Blu in Sorrento, Italy. When we initially decided to get married abroad, we researched the options and came across Ionian Weddings. It can be daunting putting your faith in a company to plan your wedding but we felt that it would be the least stressful way to plan a wedding in Italy and we are so glad we did! I honestly don't think we could have planned it on our own and Ionian Weddings made everything easy for us. We signed up for a package which included the venue, food, drinks packages, flowers, transport for guests (as the venue is outside of Sorrento), musician, limited photography and celebrant. We then added on some extras, for example extra photography, bridal hair, extra drinks and extra flowers. I liked that the prices were very transparent and we could easily budget. There was no pressure at all from Ionian Weddings to add on extras and we could have just gone with the basic package. Maria was our UK coordinator and she was so helpful answering our many questions and researching things for us if needed. We decided to go for a symbolic wedding to make things easier for us, but they offer a lot of support with the paperwork if you wish to get legally married in Italy. She keep us updated and the timeline was clear on when decisions and payments would need to be made. When we arrived in Italy, we met with Rosaria and Viola, who were the local coordinators. Rosaria is one of the most organised women I have ever met, and had a full itinerary documentation for us to refer to. She was present to welcome our guests for the pre wedding dinner and then on the wedding day itself, she made sure everything was going to plan and prompted us where needed. She took us to visit the florist as well as meet the hotel manager, and the restaurant manager before the wedding events started, so we felt fully confident that everything would go to plan, which is did. Our wedding day was truly perfect and I really think a lot of it is down to Ionian Weddings amazing staff. If anyone is thinking of getting married in Italy, Relais Blu is just stunning and I would 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: We couldn’t recommend Ionian Weddings enough. From the initial contact in April 2021 when we were choosing our venue, to our wedding last week, we have been really pleased with the service provided. Our UK wedding planner was Helen, as as well as being super friendly & lovely to work with, she was on hand throughout the whole process to answer any questions we had. Post Covid, the price of suppliers etc elsewhere has significantly increased but we found Ionian prices to be very fair & reasonable, and any increases were communicated really early so not a surprise. The venue itself (Thalassines Private Beach & Villas) in Cyprus was nothing short of exquisite - a complete paradise. Ionian weddings had communicated clearly with Louise and her team at Thalassines so they knew all about our wedding plans & guests arriving for the week. The transfer from UK wedding planners to local teams was seamless and made for a very stress free experience. Cheradie was our local coordinator once in Cyprus, and again, she was fantastic! Negative experience: After finding our dream place to get married the booking process and initial contact was fantastic but from then on in our experience was truly horrific. All they wanted to do was to know how much extra we are spending and totally forgot we were getting married. The communication was that bad we had to get married in England and not in Italy which basically took our dream from us. My wife is still totally gutted and upset with everything. Think twice about using this company. Sorry to put This review but a once in a life time experience turned into a nightmare

Fantastic experience: We recently got back from our wedding in Cyprus. From start to finish Ionian weddings have been a lovely company to work with in planning our wedding. Our UK planner Helen was fantastic! Very kind, helpful, and was always there when I needed any questions answering. She was always clear with the information going through the planning process. Our planner in Cyprus, Kim was also very kind and helpful. I could not fault Ionian weddings for making our day very special. We were lucky to have in my opinion the best photographer! Absolutely amazing photos, capturing every moment and went above and beyond our expectations. Fantastic experience: We used Ionian Weddings for our wedding in Sorrento a few weeks ago and they did an amazing job. We had a bit of a hiccup with a wire transfer and the staff at Ionian was so great during this stressful time. They were very helpful and patient with us and we couldn't have asked for a better destination wedding experience. Hair by Savva International through Ionion weddings(Kosta is brilliant). From the minute we sent our enquiry form to Ionion Weddings, through to booking, planning and then the day itself, every single touch-point was organised, friendly, reliable and simply perfect. Fantastic experience: Excellent from start to finish, particularly considering three change of dates/postponements due to Covid. When making the initial choices of venue, ceremony, flowers, food choices etc. we found these to be a simple process and guidance was given if and when needed. Our choices included an amazing ceremony at Cloisters (Sorrento) followed by our celebrations at the stunning Antiche Mura Sea View Villa. Upon arrival in Italy the coordination was first class. The first meeting even included such details as taking us to the florist to introduce us and to make sure we were happy with our floral choices. We were also taken to both wedding venues where every detail was double checked and it was very clear that they wanted nothing but perfection on the day. They delivered just that. Fantastic experience: Pestana Viking wedding 2022 Algarve Pestana Viking wedding 2022 Algarve We cannot thank Ionian Weddings enough! From starting to plan our wedding back in 2018 for 2020 they was professional and nothing was too much trouble. After postponing in 2020 due to covid everything was rearranged to what we wanted! Then with 5 days to go for our 2021 wedding the restrictions for covid changed in Portugal and we had to postpone Again! Everything was moved over and dates changed again! Maria our planner in the UK rang us and kept in contact even outside her working hours. We never had to wait for a reply. The wedding finally took place 20th July 2022 and We was amazed! The setting the scenery was unreal! Having our pre wedding meeting at the venue and quickly having to rearrange table seating plans and add a couple of people on was not an issue. Our wedding planner in Portugal Marta was brilliant! Walked us through the day, took us to the registry office and made sure our day was Perfect! From start to finish nothing was too much trouble. Maria emailed and kept in contact whilst she was on annual leave to congratulate us and gave us updates regarding pictures, we received a preview of 20 pictures from the photographer within 1wk which then we could share at our home party! Honestly these last 3 years would of caused so much stress if we never used Ionian weddings! Everything went so smooth and we had the best day ever! All guests were amazed by the whole day. Fantastic experience: Amazing service! When we knew we wanted to get married in italy we were initially daunted by the administration it would involve making sure the documents were correct. After finding Ionian they made this so easy for us and we cannot thank them enough! Right from the start through all the planning process they have been there to make sure all the finer details have been put in place to create the most incredible day. Our wedding planner Lindsay was exceptionally helpful and quick to respond to any of our queries in the lead up to the wedding. The wedding day itself ran flawlessly with Viola and Ana looking after our guests and giving us nothing to do other than enjoy ourselves. Positive experience: We just want to thank Ionian Weddings for helping us arrange our perfect wedding in Sorrento. They were helpful and patient surrounding all the Covid restrictions and uncertainties. Our local wedding coordinator Valeria was absolutely fantastic. Upon arrival in Sorrento Valeria immediately arranged for us to visit the photographer, florist, wedding and reception venues, as well as offering help and advice throughout and explaining clearly the processes. Also Valeria continually recommending places to visit throughout our stay. All of our guests commented on how well the wedding day was planned, and how friendly Valeria was to the group.
