Fantastic experience: Mel was an amazing on-the-day coordinator for our wedding. She took on the planning at the busiest, most stressful stage and it took so much pressure off of us so we could enjoy the day. I'm sure she sorted out all kinds of things behind the scenes that we didn't even twig and she was the perfect balance of inconspicuous and also there right when you need her. Fantastic experience: We worked with Mel for our wedding at Kin House in September 2025, and we genuinely couldn’t have been happier with our day. The weekend ran so smoothly, all the little details were handled quietly in the background, and we never felt stressed or pulled in different directions. Even when things needed tweaking, Mel just sorted it without any fuss. We had a lot of moving parts as we never wanted to sit still for long, so the day was quite complex and we couldn’t have achieved a wedding of that scale without Mel’s support. In the lead-up, Mel was so accommodating of our chaotic work schedules and late hours, and she always made communication easy. Fantastic experience: Mel helped with planning both my daughter's (full planning package) and son's wedding (6 week and on the day package), which were only a year apart and both held at home. We all breathed a sigh of relief to have Mel helping with planning, over seeing all the detail and making sure nothing was forgotten and this was done with a steely, quiet and friendly efficiency. Mel had lots of suggestions and many contacts to share. On the wedding days Mel was like a magician always being where needed, keeping everything running smoothly and on time while keeping a low profile in the background. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic experience: We had a great experience working with Mel from Your Story Events. We engaged her for our wedding at the Barbican Conservatory in London. We are based in the United States which adds the complexity of a 5 hour time difference, however Mel was accommodating with organizing the right cadence of Zoom calls and being flexible with timing and availability. She was invaluable keeping us on track leading up to the big day, sourcing and chasing suppliers, and interjecting helpful opinions when asked. In particular she had a big influence on the day by helping us find a celebrant from a few curated choices. She thought of many things which would not have occurred to us. She was great in explaining the different options and nuances with each option and providing honest feedback, which allowed us to choose vendors that were more representative of the vision we wanted. The wedding day was actually a breeze and the final few days leading up to it. There may well have been fire-drills in the background, but we never heard of them. In fact, the biggest snafu might have been the length of the wedding dress, but Mel was 100% prepared with safety pins and was able to work her magic to ensure the dress would not catch during the first dance. The whole day was very smooth, which is testament to the amount of planning done by Mel in advance and coordination with different vendors and the venue the day of. We certainly enjoyed the day rather than had to worry about the behind the scenes logistics of the event. We knew that having her plan our wedding was the right choice and trusted her judgment and feedback every step of the way. We would certainly recommend Mel for anyone planning a wedding.

Fantastic experience: We are so grateful to Mel for her incredible hard work planning our wedding over the last 18 months, and could not recommend her more highly! We knew we wanted a big marquee wedding at my parents’ home with glamping options for guests and a ceremony at the local church, but otherwise we had no idea what we were doing so we relied on Mel entirely to bring our ideas to life - from vendors to the logistics to the design and timeline of the entire weekend. There are so many stressful elements to planning a wedding (especially one with a big guest list that was not held at a typical wedding venue, such as ours), but we can confidently say we really enjoyed the entire process and that is completely thanks to Mel. Mel was so easy to work with throughout the whole process, with clear communication via email and organising regular check-in calls at our convenience to keep everything on track. She truly went the extra mile(s) to make sure our weekend was a complete success: from staying late and arriving early during set up on the weekend, to even bringing in her husband to help design our wedding stationery! Mel’s calming and enthusiastic presence was such a blessing in the lead up to the weekend itself, and she was there to answer any of our concerns. It rained basically the entire day before and the morning of our wedding day, but Mel stayed calm and positive throughout which really helped calm everyone’s nerves. She managed to organise all the vendors and finer details perfectly, while adjusting for less than ideal weather conditions and navigating through the chaos of my very large family - and so the wedding really turned out perfectly (with gorgeous sunshine!). So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the tent looked, how excellently the wedding seemed to flow, as well as how happily and relaxed the two of us seemed throughout the day - and again that is all thanks to Mel. We had the best weekend of our lives, and we are forever grateful to her for all her hard work and dedication!

Fantastic experience: Hiring Mel was the single best decision we made for our wedding! She was always so easy to communicate with and truly helped our vision come to life — while also keeping us in budget, which we greatly appreciated. Fantastic experience: Where do I start with the wonderful Mel. Seamless from start to finish. I can honestly say she is a joy to work with and her attention to detail is spot on. There was never an awkward moment and very approachable. Mel is down to earth, genuine and a very hard working lady. Mel is by fast one of the best wedding planners I have had the privilege to work with within the wedding industry. Her understanding of time lines and on site coordination on the day is 100%. This is a super important skill to have when working with big scale events! Her mood boards and proposals are realistic to the clients vision and executed on the day to perfection. She is very clear to her suppliers as to what is required. However, she is also very good at listening to her wedding suppliers recommendations when it regards her clients best interests. Fantastic experience: Mel was great to work with for our Jan 2023 wedding. It was a destination wedding for us& our guests having it in the UK which brought it's own challenges (estimating numbers, invites all over the world, different traditions to incorporate, etc) but the weekend turned out wonderfully. We had events before and after the wedding (bridal lunch, welcome drinks, and farewell brunch) and the whole weekend was beautiful. We couldn't have done it without her!

Fantastic experience: Mel was our on the day co-ordinator for our wedding in August, she was always more than happy to have a call to discuss any issues we had ahead of the day. She also attended our site a few months before the day, to ensure she knew the set-up we were envisaging and to help with any queries our suppliers may have had on the day. As part of our package we had asked Mel to attend the day before, this was a huge relief and helped calm our nerves as we were having a DIY wedding the whole week before the wedding we spent hours setting it all up. By having her help the day before was hugely beneficial and any issues that arose she was able to help solve them quickly and having her expertise to hand was amazing…Along with her emergency kit! Mel was lovely throughout, really approachable and made sure both myself and hubby were okay throughout the day and making sure we had a drink in hand too! If you are planning a DIY wedding yourselves we would highly recommend having a wedding co-ordinator, as this was something we were unsure of however after experiencing it first hand, it meant we could really focus on our guests and enjoy the whole day without worrying about the background running of the day! Fantastic experience: From the moment I spoke to Mel I knew I wanted her to be our wedding planner. Mel is down to earth, honest, absolutely lovely and SO organised! Mel made our day so special and expertly navigated my often eclectic ideas (plastic flamingos and gold disco balls?!?) and my meltdowns over table candle colours (sorry Mel!) Mel had everything organised down to the tiniest detail and was absolutely amazing on the day too. She absolutely went above and beyond and now its all over I miss our wedding planning catch ups! Equally, she was always more than happy to help, and always responded swiftly. We genuinely looked forward to having our planning catch-ups over Zoom with her. True to form, she was very organised on the day and was calm and collected, and very deft in dealing with any unforeseen issues, or things which may have differed from the scheduled plan.
